About me

Janesse Russel, is a therapist by training and founder of Lumi. Lumi is a six-week virtual program that uses powerful, guided art-based activities to help teen girls build resilience, self-esteem, and social-emotional skills. Every girl gets mailed the 'Lumi art kit' that is stocked with art supplies. Each week the girls have a digital lesson, art challenge, and group video call. In between sessions, they connect and offer peer support through messaging.

Janesse was trained at the University of California-Berkeley, Columbia University, and Yale University.
