Medical Director, McLean Child and Adolescent Outpatient Services
Mona is a board certified child and adolescent psychiatrist who is dedicated to improving the lives of children and their families. She is Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School and serves as the Medical Director of McLean Hospital’s Child and Adolescent Outpatient Services. In this role, Mona was integral in developing the infrastructure for several outpatient programs, including the McLean Anxiety Mastery Program (MAMP) and the School Consultation Service. Passionate about incorporating cutting-edge technologies into treatment, Mona also serves on the Executive Committee for the McLean Institute for Technology in Psychiatry (ITP). In addition, Mona is the Associate Training Director for the MGH/McLean Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship Program, where she has the privilege of mentoring the next generation of child psychiatrists.
Throughout her career, Mona has worked with children and adolescents with a range of challenges, including anxiety disorders, OCD, personality disorders, depressive and mood disorders, substance use disorders, and eating disorders at various levels of care, including inpatient, residential, intensive outpatient, and outpatient. She credits this range of her experiences with the versatility and flexibility she brings to the table as a clinician, administrator, and innovator.
