Binoy Bhansali is Corporate Vice President of Corporate Development. He leads a team responsible for identifying opportunities for strategic partnerships, outside investments, and acquisitions that support SCAN’s mission to keep seniors healthy and independent.Binoy has extensive expertise finding and investing in companies that align with SCAN’s areas of strategic focus. He previously served as a managing director in the healthcare group at Sandbox Industries, the venture capital/private equity fund that is partnered with BCBS Plans across the country. In that role, Bhansali sourced more than 1,000 healthcare technology and services companies from seed to growth equity stage, led diligence efforts in hundreds of companies, and served on the board of several companies in the Medicare Advantage and Managed Medicaid spaces. Binoy also held positions at Citigroup, Accenture, and Impact Investment Partners.Binoy has a bachelor’s degree in economics and psychology, with a minor in business institutions, from Northwestern University. He is a Kauffman Fellow, Class 23.
