Mica Le John

Mica Le John is CEO and Co-Founder of Idoru, an avatar-creation app where self-expression runs free. Mica is also the 2020-21 Hopelab Entrepreneurial Fellow. As an educator, technologist and writer, Mica's work uses an intersectional lens to explore the relationship between technology and art. For the past three years, she and her co-founder have been building tools focused on creativity and collaboration for young people. Greta McAnany is an entrepreneur + empath with media roots who believes innovation should always serve our most human needs- the next frontier of innovation is the intersection of technology and our emotions. She is the CEO/Co-Founder of Blue Fever: an emotional media (not social media) app that is evolving the teenage diary into a collaborative, non-toxic app where Gen Z can emotionally support each other without judgement. Blue Fever has served over 350k teenagers through millions of life moments with a “big sibling” algorithm that optimizes for social and emotional support. Blue Fever is venture-backed by Amazon, Bumble and more. Previous to Blue Fever, Greta began her career in film and has produced films released on Netflix, Hulu, Amazon and more. She also serves on the Inspired Stars Council for Arnold Schwarzenegger’s non-profit After-School All-Stars and is addicted to nachos and musical theater.
Maria’s primary focus at Hopelab is to advocate a youthful and authentic voice while giving teens and young adults a platform to share their health stories. Combining her experience in social media strategy and content creation, Maria manages Hopelab’s social media presence by working closely with project teams and partner organizations. Earning her B.A. in Strategic and Corporate Communication from Chapman University, she plays a dynamic role in monitoring in-house events as well as external conferences. Maria was born and raised in the Bay Area thrilled to be empowering young people.
