About Me

Tracy L. Davidson currently serves as the President of Quality Care, Network & Benefits Management for Optum Behavioral Health Solutions (OBHS), the behavioral health joint business platform following the integration of Optum Behavioral Health (OBH) and Optum Behavioral Care (OBC) in 2022.

Prior to her current OBHS role, Tracy served as President, Optum Behavioral Health (OBH) Network, increasing access and quality at scale during a time of unprecedented need across the nation. Preceding her time at Optum, she served as the National Vice President of Quality and Population Health Strategy for Community and State, the Medicaid division of UnitedHealthcare. Tracy was responsible for providing direction for programs and services aimed at improved health outcomes for the vulnerable members and communities served by the Community and State business.


Tracy was CEO for UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of Ohio from 2011 until 2019. She has a long and diverse history with UnitedHealthcare, including more than 20+ years serving in leadership positions in quality, network strategy, provider service, compliance, and operations. Tracy is the recipient of the UHC Cultural Values Award for Performance (2013, 2018), including Health Plan of the Year, and the Relationship Award in 2016. Tracy also received the 2015 Primary Health Solutions “Ascension Award” for Women Rising to New Heights in Healthcare.


Before joining UnitedHealthcare, Tracy held leadership positions in hospital, ancillary and rehabilitation settings. She is a Speech-Language Pathologist, and former certified case manager. Tracy is also a published author, having written articles for the Journal of Neurology, Continuing Care Magazine, and a book chapter for practicing speech-language pathologists. Tracy is also a frequently requested presenter at state, regional and national forums covering a variety of health industry topics.


Tracy earned both a Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Speech-Language Pathology from Bowling Green State University (Ohio). She served as the inaugural chair of the OH March of Dimes (MOD) “Nurse of the Year” initiative (2013) and is a former OH MOD Board member. Tracy is the past Government Program Chair for the Ohio Association of Health Plans (OAHP) and currently is an active member of a number of central Ohio and Midwest regional not for profit boards including: The American Heart/Stroke Association, Physicians Care Connection (PCC), The Center For Healthy Families and Celebrate One. She also served as a Mayoral appointed member of the Columbus, Ohio Black Infant Mortality Steering Committee.
