Dani Bicknell
Senior Program Manager, Headstream, SecondMuse
Dani is the Senior Program Manager for SecondMuse's youth health and wellbeing innovation program, Headstream. Based in San Francisco, Dani works with cohorts of social entrepreneurs, known as innovators, around the globe to scale their impact. Dani helps manage the success of the participating innovators to challenge existing solutions and push for changes in public policy or conscious private sector alliances through SecondMuse's network partners. Dani has over a decade of experience working in cross-sector collaboration to build more inclusive economies and prepare the next generation for the future of work.Dani is passionate about using education as a force for social good and she has a background in financial technology, education, startups, and gender equality. Before joining SecondMuse she was a Social Impact Advisor at UC Berkeley and Program Manager for an early-stage social impact accelerator. During her career, she was on the founding team of LendUp, a financial technology company, worked as a program specialist for the gender equality division at UNESCO's headquarters and advised international organizations and companies through her own social impact consultancy. Her experiences living and working in North America, South America, and Europe have equipped and provided her with opportunities to work with diverse populations and learn from stakeholders of all backgrounds. Dani believes in education without borders and using cross-cultural learning to create a world that works for all and not just the privileged few.When Dani is not working, she loves collaborating with others, traveling, cooking, gardening, and hiking.
Elise Vierra
Director of Content, Limbix
Elise Vierra is the Director of Content at Limbix, a digital therapeutics company whose mission is to increase access to mental health treatment for teens and young adults using technology. Elise directs content strategy for Limbix across each of the digital therapeutics in their pipeline. She was responsible for the creation of all content for Limbix's flagship product, SparkRx, a digital therapeutic designed to treat symptoms of adolescent depression. SparkRx is a multi-week, cognitive behavioral therapy based program that teaches teens skills like mood tracking, activity scheduling, problem solving, and mindfulness. Elise is a passionate mental health advocate and believes in the power of storytelling as a catalyst for connection.Prior to Limbix, Elise was a Project Manager, researcher, and 3D modeler in the Virtual Human Interaction Lab (VHIL) at Stanford University, a social science research lab that studies the psychological and behavioral effects of immersive digital experiences. She managed grant-funded studies exploring embodiment, empathy and perspective-taking in virtual reality (VR), and worked closely with researchers and engineers to create immersive VR experiences. Her own VHIL research focused on using VR to increase empathy towards others, as well as to designing immersive, educational narratives to increase pro-environmental and pro-social attitudes and behaviors. She has co-directed three VR experiences that were official selections at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2017 and 2018.Outside of her work at Limbix, Elise runs a field hockey club program for youth and young adults ages 10-19. Elise is also a proud dog mom to a rescue named Blue.
Dr. Katherine Grill
Co-Founder & CEO, Neolth
Dr. Katherine Grill is the CEO and co-founder of Neolth, a technology company that provides personalized mental health support to teens through a self-guided platform. Prior to founding Neolth, she worked at Children's National pediatric hospital conducting NIH research, co-founded a community health program for young adults, and was a university professor teaching courses in psychology and neuroscience at undergraduate and graduate levels.
Dr. Grill received a BS in Art Therapy, MA in Psychology, and a PhD in Behavioral Neuroscience. She has expertise in school-based mental health and using digital interventions with adolescents and young adults. She has developed and deployed a mobile application for mental health on college campuses and in K12 schools throughout the country. She has also deployed mobile solutions for adolescent behavioral health in national healthcare organizations and the corporate sector, such as leading providers of student financial services. She has worked with hundreds of students throughout her career and often provides mentorship to students during life transitions, such as graduation to early-career. She has authored peer-reviewed papers and op-eds addressing quality of life, digital mental health, and integrative wellness and has been a speaker at over 50 professional events.
Dr. Grill was selected for the Forbes 30 Under 30 list in the 2022 education category and was the recipient of the Outstanding Young Alumni Award in 2022 from the Canterbury School. She has won numerous awards through her work with Neolth, including the 2021 Lyfebulb-Loyola University Chicago Public Health Innovation Challenge; 2021 Timmy Finalist for Best Tech for Good in San Francisco; 2020 Startup of the Year EdTech award; Top 100 Startup in 2020 by SOTY; Top 100 company in 2020 by Pepperdine University; and was a SoGal Global Finals and Regional (San Francisco) pitch competition winner. She was featured in Forbes alongside the founders of Bumble and Zyper in 2021 as a leading female founder and was honored with a display on the Nasdaq Tower in Times Square in 2020.
