Young Innovator in Behavioral Health Awardee

My own personal recovery journey has inspired me to know, without a doubt, that long-term recovery is possible. Witnessing the transformative power of Aware Recovery Care’s unique approach to addiction care as a client and now an employee, I am inspired every day to give back and support others on their path to recovery, hoping they, too, can experience the renewal and hope that my family and I have found.

I’d like to see a continued shift in focus on treatment for special populations, like adolescents, the LGBTQIA+ community, and first responders, with increased primary care coordination and family and ally support.

My superpower is being able to connect with adolescents who are precontemplative for treatment. I have a way of communicating and providing comfort from a professional and personal perspective that helps me connect with and design programs for this group.
