Speaker's Profile

Alex is a designer and strategist focused on reimagining how we experience care and access dignified health, in the US and globally.She currently co-leads the health portfolio at IDEO.org, partnering with communities, healthcare organizations, and foundations to design more equitable and human-centered systems of care. Her work has included working collaboratively with youth to design mental health services, building new models for reproductive and maternal health access, and reimagining how emergent technology shows up responsibly in care delivery.Formerly, Alex led a global health and equity portfolio at IDEO across East and West Africa; her work there recognized by Fast Company and Forbes. She studied at Stanford University and is currently training as a full-spectrum birth and postpartum doula.
