About Me

Dr. Krempasky, originally from Whitwell, Tennessee, received her undergraduate degree from Franklin & Marshall College and her medical degree from East Tennessee State University's Quillen College of Medicine. She completed her psychiatry residency and served as Chief Resident at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. She currently serves as the Chief Medical Officer for Mental Health & Well-Being at WakeMed Health and Hospitals in Raleigh, North Carolina, where she leads system-wide efforts to develop a comprehensive continuum of mental health care. Prior to joining WakeMed, Dr. Krempasky was the Senior Patient Safety Officer at Mission Health System in Asheville, North Carolina, where she advanced clinical safety and quality initiatives across a multi-hospital system. Dr. Krempasky is recognized for her ability to foster collaboration across disciplines and institutions. She has led multi-sector partnerships to address gaps in behavioral health and plays an active role in statewide mental health policy through her involvement with the North Carolina Healthcare Association.
